Day 01 Welcome to Mexico City

Upon arrival at Mexico City International Airport, our representative will welcome you and provide a private transfer to your hotel.

After checking in, the remainder of the day will be free to rest or begin exploring Mexico City independently. Depending on your arrival time, you may walk through nearby neighborhoods, enjoy traditional Mexican cuisine or join an optional evening experience.

Mexico City is located at approximately 2,250 meters above sea level. We recommend staying hydrated and avoiding strenuous activity during your first few hours.

Day 02 Historic Mexico City and Cultural Treasures

After breakfast, you will begin an approximately six-hour guided exploration of Mexico City’s Historic Center.

Zócalo

Visit the Zócalo, officially known as Plaza de la Constitución. This enormous public square has been at the heart of political, religious and cultural life since pre-Hispanic times.

Metropolitan Cathedral

Admire the Metropolitan Cathedral, one of the most important colonial religious buildings in the Americas. Your guide will explain its architectural styles and historical significance.

Templo Mayor

Discover the surroundings of the Templo Mayor, once the principal ceremonial complex of the Mexica capital of Tenochtitlán.

Palace of Fine Arts and Alameda Central

Continue to the Palace of Fine Arts, one of Mexico City’s most recognizable architectural landmarks. You will also visit Alameda Central, a historic public park surrounded by cultural monuments.

National Museum of Anthropology

Day 03 Teotihuacán and Guadalupe Shrine

Today, you will travel outside Mexico City to explore two of the region’s most important cultural and religious destinations.

Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe

Visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, one of the most significant Catholic pilgrimage sites in the world.

Your guide will explain the history of the Virgin of Guadalupe and her cultural importance in Mexico.

Teotihuacán Archaeological Site

Continue to Teotihuacán, an ancient city known for its monumental pyramids, plazas and ceremonial avenues.

Walk along the Avenue of the Dead and admire the Pyramid of the Sun and Pyramid of the Moon. Your certified guide will explain the site’s development, religious traditions and influence on later Mesoamerican cultures.

Day 04 Xochimilco and Southern Mexico City

After breakfast, you will explore some of the most interesting neighborhoods and cultural attractions in southern Mexico City.

Roma and Condesa

Enjoy a panoramic journey through Roma and Condesa, two districts known for their architecture, parks, restaurants and cultural atmosphere.

Polyforum Cultural Siqueiros

Observe the Polyforum Cultural Siqueiros, a distinctive building decorated with monumental artwork associated with Mexican muralist David Alfaro Siqueiros.

University City

Continue toward Ciudad Universitaria, the main campus of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. The area is recognized for its modern architecture, murals and cultural importance.

Xochimilco

Visit Xochimilco and board a colorful trajinera for a journey through its historic canals.

During the boat ride, you will enjoy the lively atmosphere and learn about the area’s agricultural heritage and traditional chinampa system.

Day 05 Mexico City to Mérida

At the scheduled time, you will receive a private transfer from your hotel to Mexico City International Airport.

The domestic flight to Mérida is not included and must be booked separately.

Upon arrival at Mérida International Airport, our representative will welcome you and provide a private transfer to your hotel.

Mérida City Tour

Explore Mérida’s historic center with a professional bilingual guide. Visit the Zócalo, the Cathedral of San Ildefonso and the city’s traditional colonial streets.

The tour also includes Paseo de Montejo, an elegant avenue known for its historic mansions and architecture influenced by the city’s period of economic prosperity.

Day 06 Uxmal, Kabah and Cenote Experience

After breakfast, depart from Mérida for an excursion through the archaeological landscapes of Yucatán.

Uxmal Archaeological Site

Explore Uxmal, one of the most impressive Maya cities in Mexico and an outstanding example of Puuc architecture.

During the guided visit, you will admire the Pyramid of the Magician, the Governor’s Palace and the Nunnery Quadrangle. Your guide will explain the history, symbolism and architectural characteristics of each structure.

Kabah

Continue to Kabah, another important Maya archaeological site connected historically and culturally with Uxmal.

Its most famous structure is the Palace of the Masks, decorated with numerous representations of the rain god Chaac.

Cenote Visit

After exploring the archaeological sites, visit a nearby cenote. You will have time to swim and relax in its refreshing natural waters.

Access and swimming conditions may vary according to weather and local regulations.

Day 07 Santa Bárbara Cenotes

Today, you will travel to the Santa Bárbara Cenotes for an unforgettable nature experience.

The complex contains several cenotes with different formations and characteristics. Depending on the operating conditions, you will visit approximately three or four cenotes.

Transportation between the cenotes will be by bicycle or traditional horse-drawn cart. Life jackets and the required basic equipment will be provided.

You will have time to swim, photograph the natural surroundings and learn about the importance of cenotes in Maya culture. These natural freshwater formations were considered sacred and played an important role in ancient ceremonies and daily life.

After the excursion, return to Mérida.

Day 08 Chichén Itzá and Cenote

After breakfast, depart from Mérida for the final excursion of the Mexico Lindo 8-day tour.

Chichén Itzá

Explore Chichén Itzá, one of Mexico’s most famous archaeological destinations and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

During the guided visit, you will discover the Pyramid of Kukulcán, the Great Ball Court, the Temple of the Warriors and other important ceremonial structures.

Your guide will explain the Maya civilization’s knowledge of astronomy, mathematics, architecture and religion. Access to climbing the monuments is prohibited under current conservation regulations.

Cenote and Lunch

After visiting Chichén Itzá, continue to a nearby cenote surrounded by tropical vegetation.

You will have time to swim or relax before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant.

End of the Tour

After the excursion, transfer to Mérida or the drop-off point established in the confirmed program.

An optional continuation or overnight stay in Riviera Maya may be arranged at an additional cost.
