The tour begins with a panoramic visit to Huaca Pucllana, an impressive pre-Inca ceremonial complex located in Miraflores. You will then continue to the Historic Center of Lima, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to visit Plaza Mayor, Lima Cathedral, the Government Palace and the historic San Francisco Convent.
The experience also includes the famous colonial catacombs, followed by a visit to Miraflores, Love Park and Larcomar, where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. This tour is ideal for travelers who want to discover the best of Lima in one complete day.
Our team will pick you up from your hotel in Lima at approximately 9:00 a.m. Once the group is ready, we will begin the guided tour through the city’s main historical and modern districts.
During the journey, your guide will provide an introduction to Lima’s history, cultural diversity and importance as the capital of Peru.
Our first stop will be Huaca Pucllana, an impressive pre-Inca ceremonial complex located in the heart of Miraflores.
Built with thousands of adobe bricks, this archaeological site reflects the sophisticated organization of the ancient Lima culture. From the panoramic viewing area, you will learn about its ceremonial, administrative and religious functions.
This contrast between ancient architecture and the surrounding modern city makes Huaca Pucllana one of Lima’s most distinctive attractions.
We will continue to the Historic Center of Lima, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its exceptional colonial architecture and historical importance.
The guided walk begins at Plaza Mayor, the heart of the colonial city. Here, you will admire some of Lima’s most important buildings, including the Government Palace, the Municipal Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace and Lima Cathedral.
Your guide will explain the foundation of Lima, its role during the Spanish colonial period and the architectural transformation of the city.
From Plaza Mayor, you will enjoy views of the Government Palace, the official residence and workplace of Peru’s president.
You will also admire Lima Cathedral, one of the city’s most important religious monuments. Its architecture reflects several styles developed throughout centuries of construction and restoration.
External or internal access may vary according to ceremonies, official events and local regulations.
The tour continues to the historic San Francisco Convent, one of Lima’s most remarkable colonial religious complexes.
Inside, you can admire cloisters, religious paintings, carved woodwork, traditional tiles and the famous historic library. The convent provides a fascinating introduction to religious life and art during the colonial period.
Beneath the San Francisco Convent, you will visit the famous catacombs, which served as one of Lima’s principal burial sites during the colonial era.
Your guide will explain their history and function as you walk through the underground corridors and burial chambers. Visitors must follow the site’s regulations, and photography may be restricted in some areas.
After exploring Lima’s historic district, we will return to the modern coastal area of Miraflores.
We will visit Love Park, known locally as Parque del Amor. The park features colorful mosaic walls, landscaped gardens and panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.
It is one of the best places in Lima to enjoy the coastal scenery and take memorable photographs.
Our final stop will be Larcomar, a modern shopping and entertainment complex built into the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
You will have free time to walk around, take photographs, visit shops or purchase food and drinks at your own expense. The terraces offer impressive views of Lima’s coastline.
After visiting Larcomar, we will begin the transfer back to your hotel.
The tour is expected to finish at approximately 5:00 p.m., although the exact time may vary depending on traffic, attraction access and the pace of the group.
