Our team will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at the scheduled time. Once the group is ready, we will begin the journey toward the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
During the drive, you will enjoy panoramic views of the Andes, agricultural terraces, traditional villages and the mountains surrounding the valley.
Our first major destination will be the archaeological complex of Pisac, located at approximately 3,300 meters above sea level.
This impressive Inca site features agricultural terraces, ceremonial areas, stone structures and panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Sacred Valley. The surrounding mountains also contain an extensive Inca cemetery with thousands of ancient burial sites.
Your guide will explain the historical, religious and agricultural importance of Pisac within the Inca Empire.
After exploring the archaeological complex, we will visit the artisan area of Pisac. Here, you can observe traditional handicrafts, jewelry, ceramics and locally produced souvenirs.
The visit may also include a demonstration at a silver workshop, where local artisans explain some of the techniques used to create traditional Andean jewelry.
We will continue to Urubamba, a beautiful town located in the heart of the Sacred Valley.
At a local restaurant, you will enjoy a buffet lunch featuring a variety of regional and Peruvian dishes. This will be an opportunity to relax and recover energy before continuing the afternoon visits.
After lunch, we will travel to Ollantaytambo, located at approximately 2,790 meters above sea level.
Ollantaytambo is one of the best-preserved examples of Inca urban planning. Its original stone streets, water channels and traditional houses are still used by local residents today.
We will explore the archaeological complex, including its monumental terraces, ceremonial sectors and impressive stone structures. From the upper levels, you can enjoy panoramic views of the town and surrounding mountains.
Our final destination will be Chinchero, an important traditional community located at approximately 3,780 meters above sea level.
Here, you will visit the archaeological area and learn about the town’s importance during the Inca period. Chinchero is also known for its colonial church, agricultural terraces and strong textile traditions.
Local women will demonstrate how alpaca and sheep wool are cleaned, spun, dyed and woven using ancestral techniques.
You will learn how natural ingredients such as plants, flowers, minerals and insects are used to create the vibrant colors found in traditional Andean textiles. There will also be time to observe or purchase locally made products.
After visiting Chinchero, we will begin the return journey to Cusco.
Arrival is expected in the evening, although the exact time may vary depending on traffic, road conditions and the pace of the group.
